The Functional Pragmatics of Institutional Workers’ Union Officials Discourse.

Abstract
The article under review is devoted to determining the most effective mechanisms for creating a consolidation space for the institutional discourse of workers’ union activity. The purpose is to analyze the functional and pragmatic potential of discursive means of ensuring the unity of goal-setting in communication, tasked to normalize the conditions of professional activity. The material includes texts of the personally oriented sections of the official website of the Stavropol regional organization of the Education and Science Workers’ Union of Russian Federation. The identification of illocutionary relevant areas is made based on the discursive-modus analysis. The key topical and situational positions of initial goals and dynamic tasks actualization markers described within the framework of the distributive analysis application. The theoretical work plan considers the possibilities of a Dialectical Relational Approach to identifying the illocution of the professional discourse dominant actor, as well as the specifics of the speech acts theory applying in the process of determining motivational and explicative aspects of creating consolidation utterances. As a result of the empirical material analysis, the following speech act characteristics of the scopus-oriented sections of the professional discourse workers’ union activity are revealed: 1) unification of prescriptive and declarative acts, 2) the initial position of invitive and vocative acts (generalized semantics), 3) lead intensification within strong comment stance. This equates to characterize the functional pragmatics of the analyzed professional discourse type as situational with reference to the retrotopic mythosemiotic space.
