Abstract

In the modern world, more and more people are interacting with representatives of different cultures, and understanding the differences in speech etiquette formulas is a key factor in successful communication. The article examines the differences in speech etiquette formulas in Arabic and Russian cultures using the example of the "Invitation" intention. The relevance of the study lies in comparing the speech formulas of Russian and Arabic speech etiquette and identifying their specificity. The authors note that Arabic formulas reflect respect for elders, politeness, and hospitality, which is associated with the traditional way of life in Arab countries. At the same time, Russian formulas are more direct and less formal. The authors emphasize that understanding and respecting cultural differences are key factors in successful communication between people from different cultures. The research results allow for a better understanding and evaluation of the peculiarities of Arabic and Russian speech cultures, the specifics of communication and interaction during invitations. This study has practical significance for intercultural communication between Arabic and Russian speakers, and it can also be useful for specialists in the field of intercultural communication and translation.
